Kanye West Reveals Disturbing Childhood Relationship in New Song

NEW YORK, NY – Kanye West, known by his stage name Ye, has publicly discussed a disturbing childhood experience involving an alleged incestuous relationship with a cousin during his youth. This revelation comes as the rapper prepares to release a new song titled “Cousins,” which he claims reflects these past events.
In a post on X dated April 21, West shared details about his cousin, who he says is serving a life sentence for murder. The rapper stated, “This song is called COUSINS about my cousin that’s locked in jail for life for killing a pregnant lady a few years after I told him we wouldn’t ‘look at dirty magazines together’ anymore.” He described feeling a sense of responsibility for introducing his cousin to explicit materials at a young age.
“Perhaps in my self centered mess I felt it was my fault that I showed him those dirty magazines when he was 6 and then we acted out what we saw,” West explained. He mentioned that he discovered adult magazines in his mother’s closet, contrasting them with those his father owned.
As part of the song, West reportedly raps about their shared experiences, indicating confusion over their actions as children. Lyrics from the song reference their encounters and his familiarity with themes of sexuality before adolescence.
Following this announcement, West’s public behavior has drawn scrutiny. Earlier this month, he apologized for a controversial tweet aimed at fellow rapper Jay-Z which critiqued the mental capacity of Jay-Z’s children.
West has a history of speaking about his family, including his cousin’s criminal past, alongside his former wife Kim Kardashian, who has previously expressed concern for the family member. Though they divorced in 2022, West and Kardashian share four children.
