Kardashian Addresses Rumors About Son, Urges Media to Respect Privacy

LOS ANGELES, California — Kourtney Kardashian is refuting rampant speculation about her 15-year-old son, Mason Disick, and a supposed unplanned fatherhood.

On Sunday, March 2, Kardashian shared a rare public statement on her Instagram Stories, denouncing the rumors circulating on social media. “I rarely address rumors or conspiracies regarding myself or my family, but this is about my child, and it feels wrong to let anyone think for a second that these lies are remotely true. They are not,” she wrote. “Mason does not have a child.”

Kardashian emphasized the importance of her son’s privacy, continuing, “These accounts that pretend to be him are definitely not. They are FAKE. My son really values his privacy, and I am asking all media to please be respectful: he is a kid with feelings and a beautiful life ahead of him. Please stop spreading false narratives and spinning lies. And to all the other people making videos about my kids (who, by the way, are minors), please stop and leave them alone.”

While Mason has largely stepped back from public life and is no longer a regular on the family’s hit reality television show, “The Kardashians,” he seems to be reemerging on social media. In May 2024, he launched his first official Instagram account, sharing glimpses of his teenage life, prompting enthusiastic responses from family members.

In the initial post, Mason showed off his style with two photos, one where he posed outdoors looking down and another with his back to the camera. His aunts reacted warmly in the comments section, with Khloé Kardashian expressing disbelief, “I can’t believe this is happening,” and Kim Kardashian chiming in, “You’re really on Instagram 🥰.”

Kardashian’s public plea comes in light of an interview her ex-partner, Scott Disick, conducted where he offered parenting advice to their son. He discussed conversations he has had with Mason, particularly about navigating teenage relationships.

“Mason especially, if he’s going through something, I talk to him about my life. Like mistakes that I did,” Disick said during his appearance on the first episode of a podcast. He shared that he advises Mason to be honest in his relationships and avoid deceit.

“So I said, ‘Listen, you can do whatever you want as long as you’re honest,’” Disick added. “Honesty’s the best policy, but back in our day, it wasn’t so easy.”

Kardashian is also the mother to two other children, daughter Penelope and son Reign, both of whom she shares with Disick, as well as her son, whose name has not been disclosed, with her current husband, Travis Barker.
