Karim Benzema's Future Uncertain As Lawyer Quashes Rumours Of January Exit

The speculation surrounding Karim Benzema‘s future in the Saudi Pro League has been quelled by the player’s lawyer, Hugues Vigier. Reports had emerged of a potential falling out between Benzema and his current club Al-Ittihad, leading to rumors of the striker’s unhappiness and a possible January transfer move. However, Vigier dismissed these claims and stated that Benzema has no intentions of leaving the club at the moment.

Vigier, though, did hint at a potential return to his former club Lyon, stating that he would be quite happy to see the striker back at the French club. However, he clarified that Benzema has not expressed any desire to leave Al-Ittihad and join Lyon. Vigier addressed the recent struggles of the striker on the pitch, attributing them to a temporary dip in performance rather than an indication of an impending exit.

The rumors of discontent in Benzema’s camp were fueled by his delayed return from a vacation in Mauritius. However, it was later explained that the cyclone Belal had disrupted his travel plans. Vigier explained that Benzema had experienced both highs and lows in his career before and that this period might just be a less prosperous phase.

Although Benzema’s future remains uncertain, Vigier’s comments indicate that he has no immediate plans to leave Al-Ittihad. With his lawyer dismissing the rumors and the player not expressing any desire for a transfer, it seems that Benzema will continue to don the Al-Ittihad jersey for the time being.
