Karol G Reveals Personal Struggles in New Netflix Documentary

Los Angeles, CA — Colombian singer Karol G opens up about her personal struggles in her upcoming Netflix documentary, “Mañana Fue Bonito,” which translates to “Tomorrow Was Beautiful.” The film, set to premiere on May 8, reveals the challenges she faced during her rise to international stardom.
The documentary follows the release of her album “Mañana Será Bonito,” which features an emotional first track where she sings about overcoming her struggles. “Give me time / Because I’m not in my best moment / But I’m getting better little by little,” she expresses in the song.
The film portrays her journey from a young girl in Medellín dreaming of a music career to becoming the first Latina to headline a global stadium tour. It captures her triumphs and the advice of some team members who doubted her decision to embark on that tour.
Karol G also reflects on her personal life, sharing insights into her recent breakup and how it inspired her music. “Love can make you feel like the happiest person on Earth, but at the same time it can destroy you,” she reveals in the documentary.
During an appearance on TODAY, she expressed her excitement about opening up regarding her new, healthy relationship. “He understands what I do, I understand what he does. It is a blessing to have him,” she said.
In the film, she confronts painful memories from her past, including a pivotal moment when she almost quit music due to a troubling incident with a now-former manager. “It broke my heart,” she recalls, stressing the importance of sharing her story to help other women in similar situations.
Karol has also made a personal change, returning to her natural hair color. “I wanted to be my most natural and original and authentic version of myself,” she said, signaling a new chapter in her life.
As anticipation builds for both her documentary and new music, Karol G proves that tomorrow can indeed be beautiful.
