Goldie Hawn Throwback Dance Studio Photo

LOS ANGELES, CA — Actress Kate Hudson recently took to Instagram to share a nostalgic throwback photo of her mother, Goldie Hawn, from her role in the 1974 romantic comedy, The Girl From Petrovka. The post has sparked a wave of admiration from fans.

The image shows Hawn in an ornate dance studio, dressed in a black leotard, a wrap-around cardigan, and ribbed white leg warmers, as she gracefully dances in pointe shoes. Hudson captioned the post, quoting her mother: “Dancing feet always called her name,” and added the phrase “She’s Right On Time,” accompanied by a pointe shoe emoji.

Fans quickly flooded the comments section with their appreciation. One user praised Hawn’s performance in the film, saying, “She was so good in this film,” while others chimed in, calling her a “national treasure” and expressing love for the nostalgic moment.

The Girl From Petrovka, in which Hawn stars as a ballerina named Oktyabrina, follows a Moscow-based U.S. journalist played by the late Hal Holbrook. The film also features Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins.

Hawn’s last on-screen appearance was in The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two, which was released five years ago. She co-starred in both films with her partner, Kurt Russell, with whom she has been since the 1980s after they reconnected on the set of Swing Shift.

Goldie Hawn, who welcomed Kate in 1979 with her ex-husband Bill Hudson, has a notable family tree. Hudson also has two other siblings: Oliver Hudson, who is also active in the entertainment industry, and Wyatt Russell. Goldie and Kurt Russell also share a blended family, including eight grandchildren from their children.

Hawn and Russell first met in 1968 while filming Disney’s The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band, when they were just teenagers. Their love story spans decades, embodying a relationship strengthened through previous marriages and children.
