Kate Winslet Stars as Lee Miller in Biopic ‘LEE’

Kate Winslet is set to portray the pioneering war correspondent and photographer Lee Miller in the upcoming biopic ‘LEE’, directed by Ellen Kuras.

‘LEE’ delves into the remarkable story of Lee Miller, an American photographer who defied all odds to document the truth of the Nazi regime through her lens during World War II.

The star-studded cast not only includes Winslet as Miller but also features Andy Samberg as Life Magazine photographer David E. Scherman, Alexander Skarsgård as English Surrealist painter Roland Penrose, Marion Cotillard as Solange D’Ayen of French Vogue, Josh O’Connor as Tony, and Andrea Riseborough as British Vogue Editor Audrey Withers.

The film, which had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2023, will finally hit UK cinemas on 13 September 2024, marking a highly anticipated release for fans of historical dramas.

Directed by Kuras, ‘LEE’ showcases Winslet’s gripping performance as Lee Miller and delves into the personal sacrifices she made in her quest to capture some of the most vital images of WWII.
