LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Comedian Katt Williams sparked controversy over the weekend with scathing critiques of Vice President Kamala Harris and actor Martin Lawrence during his “Heaven on Earth” comedy tour. Two viral clips from his Jan. 17 performance in Los Angeles have ignited debates across social media.

In the first clip, Williams targeted Harris, claiming her failed presidential bid was due to a lack of support from various demographics. “Nobody voted for this b*tch,” Williams said, eliciting laughter from the audience. “Women didn’t vote for her, Indians didn’t vote for her, Jews didn’t vote for her. She married a Jew, they did not vote for her.”

Williams also criticized Harris for not addressing her supporters on election night. “I expected more of Kamala. It’s one thing to get your a*s whooped, but you still got to come out, ma’am,” he said. “She left her own sorority out there in the cold.”

Despite Williams’ claims, exit polling data tells a different story. According to recent reports, 78% of Black men and 92% of Black women voted for Harris in the 2024 election, surpassing the numbers for Joe Biden in 2020.

In the second clip, Williams turned his attention to Martin Lawrence, accusing the actor of hiding a past stroke. “Why won’t somebody say something? Ain’t nothing wrong with having a stroke and getting better. The f*ck is we hiding it for?” Williams said, impersonating Lawrence’s mannerisms.

Ironically, Lawrence had recently praised Williams in an interview, calling him “fearless” and comparing their comedic styles. “He’s fearless. He ain’t afraid to hit subjects. Katt says what he wants to say, does what he wants to do,” Lawrence said.

Social media reactions to Williams’ rants have been mixed. Some users criticized his harsh tone, with one writing, “This is very disappointing. Who can we trust to stay true within the Black community?” Others echoed Williams’ sentiments, with another user adding, “The year 2025 has been very disappointing.”

Williams’ comments come amid a broader conversation about accountability and representation in politics and entertainment. While his critiques have drawn both support and backlash, they underscore the comedian’s reputation for unfiltered commentary.
