Keanu Reeves to Receive Inaugural Lance Reddick Legacy Award at 51st Saturn Awards
Keanu Reeves has been announced as the recipient of the inaugural Lance Reddick Legacy Award at the 51st Saturn Awards. The entire show will be dedicated to the memory of the late Lance Reddick, who starred opposite Reeves in the John Wick franchise. Reddick, known for his role as Charon, the concierge at the Continental hotel, passed away in March.
The award, presented by Bosch star Titus Welliver, symbolizes and celebrates both a performer’s talent and their character, serving as a goodwill ambassador in the industry. Reeves’ diverse filmography includes science fiction with The Matrix Trilogy, fantasy with Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and Constantine, and horror with films like Francis Ford Coppola’s Dracula and The Devil’s Advocate. The actor is also recognized for his roles in Speed and Point Break.
The Saturn Awards, which recognize excellence in genre work, will be streaming live on February 4. Hosted by Joel McHale, the event will be available for viewing via ElectricNow. The organizers are thrilled to celebrate Lance Reddick’s memory by honoring Keanu Reeves, a dear friend and genre icon.”
