Kelsea Ballerini Concert Performance Stage

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — Country music star Kelsea Ballerini announced on social media Sunday that she will perform at Philadelphia‘s Wells Fargo Center on Monday, February 10, despite struggling with illness over the weekend. The announcement brings relief to fans after Ballerini had to abruptly leave the stage during her concert in Buffalo, New York, on February 6.

Ballerini, who has been battling the flu, was only able to perform for about 20 minutes in Buffalo before a representative stepped in to inform the audience of her situation. “This is the conversation I did not want to have tonight,” the representative said. “She just can’t finish. She is just too sick.”

Afterward, Ballerini expressed her regret to fans via Instagram, stating, “Buffalo, I am so, so sorry that I could not finish the show tonight. I am sicker than I am trying to be. I didn’t want to let anyone down tonight, but I got through the first songs tonight, and I couldn’t do it.”

The affected shows in Buffalo, as well as upcoming performances in Pittsburgh and Toronto, have been rescheduled to April. Ballerini assured fans that she would make it worthwhile, saying, “I will make them the best shows I have ever played in my life. I hope you understand, and thank you for the grace to be human, and I love you.”

Prior to her Buffalo performance, Ballerini had shared a positive update about her health, revealing that she felt physically better but was still coping with the flu. “I need your help tonight,” she told fans. Despite her optimism, she ultimately found herself unable to continue the concert.

In her address to fans, she acknowledged the difficulty of missing the show, reinforcing her commitment to deliver a quality performance in the future. “I never want to give you a half-assed show,” she emphasized, reflecting on her desire to ensure fans leave satisfied.

Her next concert in Philadelphia is set for 7 p.m. and is eagerly anticipated by her supporters, especially after the recent changes to her tour schedule. The country singer and ‘The Voice’ coach continues to recover and has encouraged fans to send supportive messages.

“Sending you the biggest (air) hug and going back to bed now,” Ballerini wrote on her social media prior to the announcement of her return to the stage. As her fans await her performance in Philadelphia, they remain hopeful for her swift recovery.
