Kelsea Ballerini The Voice Performance

LOS ANGELES, California — Kelsea Ballerini showcased her talent on Tuesday’s episode of The Voice, where she performed her hit song, “Baggage.” This marked a significant moment for Ballerini, who is a first-time coach on the show.

During her performance, Ballerini wore a sparkling gown and was joined on stage by female musicians from her latest album. The atmosphere was electric as she captivated the audience with her voice.

The performance followed the season’s Live Semi-Finals, where the Top 12 contestants competed fiercely. Alanna Lynise, Iris Herrera, and Jaelen Johnston were among the contestants who impressed viewers with moving renditions of songs. Lynise performed “I’m Not That Girl” from Wicked, Herrera sang Lola Young’s “Messy,” and Johnston honored his late cousin with a cover of Lee Brice‘s “I Drive Your Truck.”

On the same episode, the Top 12 will be reduced to the Top 5, resulting in seven contestants being eliminated before next week’s finale. Ballerini expressed her passion for mentoring young women in an October interview, stating, “I didn’t realize how fiercely protective I am of young women artists.” She emphasized her commitment to ensuring that young women are represented fairly.

Ballerini’s coaching role comes as she enjoys a busy period in her career. Following the release of her album, Patterns, she embarked on her first headlining arena tour, which received significant acclaim. Reflecting on her journey, she remarked, “I’ve been trying to stand in my success more and not make myself smaller. I think that’s a lesson for all women—to be really proud about our wins.”
