Kendrick Lamar Sza Billboard Hot 100 Chart

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – Kendrick Lamar and SZA‘s single “Luther” has secured the No. 1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for a fourth consecutive week, a milestone that highlights the duo’s strong presence in the music industry. The track, which incorporates a sample from the late R&B legend Luther Vandross, has become Lamar’s sixth No. 1 single and SZA’s third.

Lamar’s extended success on the Hot 100 ties his previous record of three consecutive weeks at the top, achieved with his single “Not Like Us.” Prior to this, he also had a three-week reign with “Like That” in 2024, featuring Future and Metro Boomin. His other No. 1 hits have typically held the chart for a single week each, including “Squabble Up” in December 2024 and “Humble.” in 2017.

SZA, meanwhile, is marking her longest stay at No. 1 yet, having previously topped the chart for a week as a featured artist on Drake‘s “Slime You Out” and with her own single “Kill Bill” earlier in 2023. The collaboration on “Luther” represents not only a successful pairing but also a significant moment in both artists’ careers.

In addition to their No. 1 status, Lamar has achieved another milestone with three songs in the Hot 100’s top five for the sixth consecutive week. “Not Like Us” remains at No. 3, while “TV Off,” featuring Lefty Gunplay, dropped from No. 4 to No. 5. With this achievement, Lamar ties Drake for the most weeks with multiple songs in the top five among solo artists, surpassing only The Beatles‘ record of eight weeks.

In the broader context of the Hot 100, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars‘ “Die With a Smile” holds its ground at No. 2 after spending five weeks at No. 1 earlier this year. Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” rises from No. 5 to No. 4, while ROSÉ and Bruno Mars’ “APT.” stays at No. 6. Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club” advances to a new peak at No. 7, and Drake’s “Nokia” climbs back to its previous peak at No. 8.

Billie Eilish‘s “Birds of a Feather” dips from No. 7 to No. 9, while Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control,” after reaching the top in March 2024, rounds out the top 10 at No. 10. This track has now achieved 82 weeks on the chart, making it the fourth-longest-running song in Hot 100 history.

As fans anticipate ongoing developments in the charts, Lamar and SZA’s dominance highlights the evolving landscape of the music industry while offering a glimpse into future trends.
