Kenny Chesney, June Carter Cash, Tony Brown Inducted into CMA Hall of Fame

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Kenny Chesney, June Carter Cash, and Tony Brown will officially join the Country Music Association Hall of Fame in 2025, as announced during a press conference hosted by Hall of Famer Vince Gill.
Brown will be honored in the Non-Performer Category, while June Carter Cash receives recognition in the Veterans’ Era Artist Category. Chesney is celebrated in the Modern-Era Artist Category. CMA Chief Executive Officer Sarah Trahern emphasized the significance of this year’s inductees, stating, “Kenny, June, and Tony have each left a lasting imprint on the genre.”
Trahern elaborated, “Their lifelong commitment has led to this very moment. Their achievements speak to the passion and dedication that have defined their extraordinary careers, and the impact of their work will continue to inspire future generations.”
Brown, known as the “Kingmaker of Country Music” by the Los Angeles Times, earned acclaim as a musician and record label executive. Throughout his career, he has produced over 100 tracks that reached the top of the country charts, collaborating with numerous artists.
June Carter Cash, a key figure in American music, closely worked with her husband Johnny Cash and played a vital role in blending various musical styles. Renowned not only in the country music scene but also within broader pop culture, June built a legacy of authenticity and artistic passion throughout her life.
Kenny Chesney, hailing from East Tennessee, has established himself as a powerhouse in country music. His album “Greatest Hits,” released in 2000, went triple Platinum and featured hit songs such as “How Forever Feels” and “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy.” His career took off during George Strait’s stadium tours in the late 1990s and early 2000s, inspiring him to craft his own distinctive sound.
