Kenny Chesney Surprises Megan Moroney with Custom Sauna Gift

Nashville, TN – Country music star Kenny Chesney surprised singer Megan Moroney by gifting her a custom sauna after their 2024 Sun Goes Down Tour. Moroney revealed the unexpected present during a recent interview, sharing details about the thoughtful gesture.

Chesney’s gift stands out among the typical thank-you items country headliners give their opening acts. “He got me a sauna. He got me into ice bathing and sauna’ing,” Moroney shared. “Once he got me addicted, he was like, ‘Here ya go, you can have this at home now.'” The elaborate gift required special arrangements since it had to be custom-built to fit her house.

Moroney explained that the sauna was delivered while she was away. “Apparently they had to do it when I wasn’t in town, I don’t know how he snuck around. I guess it was someone on my team that helped?” Her surprise turned into laughter when Chesney inadvertently revealed the secret on the last night of the tour. “Look what’s at your house right now!” he said, prompting a joyful reaction from Moroney.

Reflecting on their friendship, Moroney expressed her disbelief at having toured with Chesney, admitting, “That was awesome. I used to be a fangirl.” The two musicians have since maintained a close friendship, with a new duet titled “You Had to Be There” set to drop on May 9.

Chesney, who is gearing up for a residency in Las Vegas and was recently inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, commented on the collaboration. “As far as I know this is the first song anyone has written for me.
