Kevin Trapp to Start for Paris FC Against Monaco
Paris, France — In a surprising move, Stéphane Gilli has announced that Kevin Trapp will start as goalkeeper for Paris FC in their match against AS Monaco this Saturday at 7 p.m. This decision comes as Trapp replaces Obed Nkambadio, who has been a consistent presence in the net for the club.
Nkambadio has played in 9 of the 10 Ligue 1 matches this season, with Trapp stepping in only once previously due to a minor injury. This shift appears to be a tactical choice by the coaching staff, as Nkambadio is expected to reclaim his starting position for the next match against Rennes on Friday.
In addition to the goalkeeping change, several players will be absent for Paris FC. Vincent Marchetti will miss the match due to knee pain sustained in the October 24 game against Nantes, where Paris FC lost 2-1. Coach Gilli had considered starting Marchetti to give captain Maxime Lopez a rest, but Lopez will now remain in the lineup.
Other absentees include Alimami Gory, who is out with a hamstring issue, and Hamari Traoré, who is recovering from a thigh injury. Thibault de Smet will serve a suspension, and Nhoa Sangui will also miss the game due to a thigh strain.
The starting lineup for Paris FC includes Trapp, Chergui, Mbow, Otavio, and Ollila in defense. Midfield features Lopez (captain), Lees-Melou, and Camara, while Kebbal, Krasso, and Simon will lead the attack.
Monaco’s lineup will see goalkeeper Köhn supported by Kehrer (captain), Salisu, and Caio Henrique in defense. Midfielders include Diatta, Teze, Coulibaly, and Ouattara, with Akliouche, Golovine, and Biereth forming the front line.
