Khloé Kardashian Addresses Daughter’s Belief About Her Marriage to Tristan Thompson

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Khloé Kardashian recently revealed that her six-year-old daughter, True, believes that she and her ex-partner Tristan Thompson are still married. In the latest episode of The Kardashians, Kardashian discussed her daughter’s perspective during a conversation with her friend Malika Haqq.
“True thinks me and Tristan are married,” Kardashian shared, noting that she wants to instill traditional values in her children. She added, “It is the right thing to do, in my opinion—get married, have kids. That’s what I wanna teach her.”
Despite her daughter’s misconceptions, Kardashian stated her intention to clarify the situation in the future. “The only thing that bothers me about that would be—I don’t want True going through life thinking, ‘This is what a marriage is,'” she explained during a confessional. “Oh, you’re married to someone and they don’t live with you. And you never have to kiss them or you don’t sleep in the same bed together.”
Kardashian, who shares True and two-year-old son Tatum with Thompson, emphasized that she wants her children to see a loving and affectionate relationship one day. “I would love my kids to see me have a husband one day and I love for them to see love and affection and romance,” she stated. “But right now, I believe you do things for your kids because kids should not be involved in adult problems.”
In the same episode, Kardashian expressed her comfort with being single. “I’m doing things, but I’m not on Hinge, I’m not on Raya,” she told Haqq. “I’m not on all these things, and I don’t want to be. I’m fine.”
The conversation surrounding her family dynamics comes in light of their complicated history. Kardashian and Thompson, who have had an on-and-off relationship for several years, officially split in June 2021 following revelations of his infidelity just prior to the birth of their second child via surrogate. Despite their separation, Kardashian noted that they have maintained a cordial co-parenting relationship.
While discussing Thompson’s recent game, Kardashian reflected on her experiences, saying, “My family, my circle, they know that Tristan and I, we’re not together. But it’s sad that I had a lot of anxiety because of outside noise.” She decided to focus on the positive experiences for her kids, adding, “It was such a great experience for my kids; they were so happy.”
New episodes of The Kardashians air Thursdays at 12 a.m. ET on Hulu, providing fans with further insights into Kardashian’s life and family dynamics.
