Khloe Kardashian Reveals Tristan Thompson Cheated 48 Hours Before Daughter’s Birth

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Khloe Kardashian opened up about her decision to allow ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson to be present during the birth of their daughter, True, in 2018, despite learning of his infidelity just 48 hours prior. The revelation came during a Jan. 29 episode of her podcast, where she discussed the emotional turmoil surrounding the birth.

Kardashian, 40, explained that she chose to prioritize her daughter’s future memories over her own feelings at the time. “I remember when Tristan had an affair, it was public, and I gave birth 48 hours later,” she said. “People were like, ‘Do you want him in the hospital room when you’re giving birth?’ And it was my first baby, and I said, ‘I do.’”

The reality star, who co-founded Good American, emphasized that her decision was rooted in ensuring True would one day see footage of her father being present at her birth. “I was thinking for my daughter, True,” Kardashian said. “I want her to know her dad was in the room.”

Kardashian admitted that the experience was emotionally challenging, describing it as an “out-of-body experience.” She recalled feeling detached and operating on autopilot during the birth. “I just went into, ‘I’m not here.’ I was not present, but my body was there. I gave birth, I did what I had to do,” she said.

After the birth, Kardashian asked Thompson to leave, stating, “When it was done, I was like, ‘I can’t talk to you.’” She credited her family, whom she referred to as her “tribe,” for helping her navigate the difficult period. Kardashian also revealed that she isolated herself for months after the birth, focusing solely on her newborn daughter.

Reflecting on her past experiences, Kardashian drew parallels to her first marriage with Lamar Odom, who faced numerous controversies during their relationship. “I knew how to deal with this media scandal,” she said. “I was in Cleveland, Ohio, so I was like, let me just stay here for a little bit because that’s where I gave birth. I just knew to stay away from the noise, which L.A. has a lot of.”

Kardashian and Thompson, who also share a 2-year-old son, Tatum, have had a tumultuous relationship marked by public scandals. Despite the challenges, Kardashian remains focused on co-parenting and creating a stable environment for her children.
