Kieran Culkin Wins Emmy For Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series

Kieran Culkin, known for his role as Roman Roy in the hit HBO series Succession, celebrated a well-deserved win at the Emmy Awards. Culkin secured the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, beating out strong contenders such as Bob Odenkirk from Better Call Saul and Jeff Bridges from The Old Man, among others.

Upon hearing his name announced, Culkin received praise from his brother, Macaulay Culkin. Macaulay took to social media and posted, ‘YAY KIERAN!!!!!!!’ to show his support.

This prestigious award marks Culkin’s first win as a lead actor, although he has previously been nominated in the Outstanding Supporting Actor category. In his acceptance speech, he expressed gratitude towards the show’s creator, Jesse Armstrong, for his brilliant writing and guidance. Culkin also thanked his manager Emily Gerson Saines for her unwavering support throughout his career.

However, Culkin reserved a special acknowledgment for his wife, Jazz Charton, who was present in the audience. He professed his love for her and thanked her for sharing her life with him, as well as for their two wonderful children, Kinsey Sioux and Wilder Wolf. Culkin humorously added, ‘And Jazz, I want more,’ as the crowd burst into laughter.

This playful banter between Culkin and Pedro Pascal, the star of the show The Last of Us, continued at the Emmys. Pascal, who has been wearing a sling due to a shoulder injury, jokingly claimed that Culkin beat him up. The two actors have engaged in a friendly rivalry throughout award season, creating an entertaining buzz.

Overall, the Emmys showcased many remarkable moments and surprising wins. It was a night of celebration for talented individuals in the television industry.
