Kit Connor in Talks for Elden Ring Movie Adaptation

LOS ANGELES, CA — Kit Connor may star in an upcoming film adaptation of the popular video game Elden Ring, directed by Alex Garland. Sources confirmed that the two have been in discussions, although no official offer has been made yet.
The adaptation is gaining traction as both Garland and Connor express a strong desire to collaborate on the project. A representative for A24, the film’s production company, declined to comment on the negotiations.
Elden Ring, released in February 2022, has sold over 30 million copies worldwide. Created by FromSoftware and based on a story by George R. R. Martin, the game immerses players in a vast dark fantasy world filled with adventure.
Garland, who has a history with A24, is set to direct and write the film. Peter Rice will produce alongside Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reich from DNA, bringing notable industry names together for the project.
Connor, who gained fame from his role in the Netflix series Heartstopper, was recently featured in Garland’s war film Warfare. He is represented by Independent Talent Group and WME.
This Elden Ring adaptation is expected to be one of A24’s most ambitious projects to date, further highlighting Garland’s growing partnership with the studio.
If negotiations conclude successfully, it could be a significant career milestone for Connor.
