Knights Win Backyard Challenge on Rock the Block Season Finale

Grantsville, Utah — During the current season of “Rock the Block,” teams focused on enhancing their backyard spaces with a $50,000 budget boost this week. Jonathan and Jordan Knight emerged as the standout winners, impressing judges Leslie Davis and Lyndsay Lamb with their backyard design.
The judges remarked that the Knight brothers’ backyard featured an impressive layout, complete with a greenhouse, raised garden beds, a goat barn, and a fire pit. “We got in there, and we were just blown away,” Davis said. “It has power, water, entertaining, usability in multiple different ways—such a creative thing to incorporate.”
In addition to the essential features, the Knights showcased a dining area equipped with long tables, extra seating for enjoying mountain views, and modern touches like glass railings and automated screens. Their innovative use of space was a key factor in their victory.
While the Knights took the top spot, several other teams also delivered impressive designs. The Kalamas constructed a unique outdoor shower, while the DeBoers created a family-friendly environment with a large playset and a trampoline enclosed by wood fencing. Alison and Michel Boyd Smith added a container-style tiny home and a cedar hot tub, drawing praise for their creativity.
Fans reacted strongly to the outcome of this week’s episode. Many expressed their thoughts on social media, indicating that team DeBoers’ fence should have earned them the win. One viewer stated, “With that size of yard, whoever didn’t add a fence is a loser in my eyes.” Others pointed out the lack of outdoor kitchens among the designs, highlighting it as a missed opportunity.
Next week marks the season six finale, where remaining teams will finalize their projects. Viewers can expect a competitive finish as all teams aim for the top. On May 26, the winner will be announced, and fans will also have the chance to tour the Utah homes created during the season.
The homes are located in the Worthington Ranch community, about 35 miles southwest of Salt Lake City, and will be available for potential buyers. Homebuilder Hamlet Homes will handle the listings after the finale.
