Krispy Kreme, the popular doughnut chain, is commemorating its 87th birthday this Friday by offering customers a delectable deal to mark the occasion. To celebrate, customers can enjoy a special promotion where they receive a free dozen doughnuts with the purchase of any regular-priced dozen.

The company revealed on Tuesday that customers can partake in this offer on July 12, with the limit set at two dozen when purchased in-store or via the drive-thru, and one dozen when ordered online for pickup or delivery. To redeem this sweet deal online, customers can simply use the code ‘BDAY’ during checkout.

“Treating our fans on our birthday is a long-time tradition,” stated Dave Skena, the Global Chief Brand Officer for Krispy Kreme, in a recent news release.

Krispy Kreme’s rich history dates back to 1937 when it was founded by Vernon Rudolph. The company shares that Rudolph started by selling his delectable doughnuts to grocery stores. As demand grew, Rudolph famously began selling the now-iconic Original Glazed doughnuts from a store wall, eventually transitioning to selling directly to customers on the sidewalk.

July continues to bring more delight to Krispy Kreme customers with additional promotions. In the month of July, members of Krispy Kreme’s loyalty program can enjoy a complimentary doughnut every Tuesday and a free iced coffee every Friday with any purchase. To participate in these July giveaways, customers must be part of the rewards program and can sign up by downloading the Krispy Kreme app or creating an account on the company’s website.

For those eager to indulge in the Tuesday doughnut and Friday iced coffee treats, making a purchase is the initial step to unlocking these freebies. The enticing offerings throughout July make it a month full of perks for Krispy Kreme enthusiasts.
