Kristen Stewart Shines on Set of Fiancée’s Film Debut

Los Angeles, CA — Kristen Stewart was spotted in Los Angeles on the set of her fiancée Dylan Meyer‘s directorial debut, The Wrong Girls, on Monday. The Oscar-nominated actress, 34, exchanged her usual grunge style for a polished look, donning a chic black jacket, a matching mini-skirt, dark stockings, and lace-up boots designed by Heidi Bivens.
Stewart’s hair, now platinum blonde, was styled into a fringe-fronted ponytail by head of the hair department Vanessa Price, helping her portray her character Frankie in this mistaken identity Neon drama. Meyer, 37, has spent 13 years writing the screenplay for The Wrong Girls, which also stars Alia Shawkat, Kumail Nanjiani, LaKeith Stanfield, and Tony Hale.
Reflecting on their collaboration, Stewart remarked in a previous interview, “If I couldn’t share with [Dylan] and make with her and collaborate with her, I would do it with other people and we wouldn’t be as close. I need to have that [in a relationship]. And she is so much better and smarter and cooler and hotter than me.”
The couple co-founded a production company named Nevermind Pictures last year, alongside Maggie Mclean. In June, they completed Stewart’s feature directorial debut, The Chronology of Water, filmed in Latvia, based on the memoir by Lidia Yuknavitch. This project will star Imogen Poots, Thora Birch, Jim Belushi, and Tom Sturridge.
Stewart is set to appear next in the road trip comedy Sacramento, alongside Michael Cera, playing his on-screen pregnant wife Rosie. This film will hit theaters in the U.S. on April 11. Stewart originally met Cera while co-starring in the film Speak, and they dated for six years until 2009. She subsequently had noteworthy relationships with stars including Robert Pattinson, Soko, and St. Vincent.
Additions to Stewart’s portfolio include her involvement in Panos Cosmatos’ vampire movie Flesh of the Gods and the Amazon MGM limited series The Challenger, focusing on astronaut Sally Ride.
