New York City, NY – Kristin Chenoweth, known for her role as Glinda in the Broadway musical *Wicked*, recently addressed longstanding rumors about a feud with her co-star Idina Menzel, who portrayed Elphaba. In an interview published on November 3, Chenoweth shared insights on their relationship, emphasizing a deep emotional bond rather than the reported conflicts.

Chenoweth, 57, stated, “We are so different in the way we do our process that of course rumors are going to fly, right?” She elaborated that their relationship is like that of sisters, stating, “Are sisters always perfect? So it’s family. That’s the best way I can describe it.”

The rumors of tension between them began during the original production of *Wicked* 22 years ago and intensified when both were nominated for Tony Awards in 2004. While Menzel won for Best Lead Actress in a Musical, Chenoweth’s subsequent comments suggest her feelings are less about rivalry and more about shared experiences.

<p“I’m sure, as a sister, I got on her nerves sometimes,” Chenoweth admitted in a prior interview in 2023. Menzel echoed a similar sentiment, saying, “Whatever was going on in our own lives, it was nice to always be able to come to that at the end of a show.”

Both actresses reflected on their connection, especially as they faced the pressures of performing on Broadway. Menzel spoke about their support for each other during tough times, noting the importance of their final duet, “For Good.”

<p“As sisters, we’ve had our ups and downs,” Menzel said. “We always came back to one another because that’s all that matters.” Chenoweth’s recent comments reaffirm their bond built on shared challenges rather than animosity.

<pIn addition to discussing their relationship, Chenoweth mentioned the film adaptation of *Wicked*, featuring Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, which was released last November. Previously, she hinted at a cameo for an upcoming sequel titled *Wicked: For Good*, set to release later this month.
