Lahore Qalandars to Face Karachi Kings in High-Stakes PSL Rematch

LAHORE, Pakistan – The Lahore Qalandars will clash with the Karachi Kings in the 24th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 on May 4, 2025, at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. This match comes on the heels of Qalandars’ dominating 65-run win over the Kings in their previous encounter in Karachi.
In that match, a solid 125-run partnership between Fakhar Zaman and Daryl Mitchell propelled the Qalandars to victory. The Qalandars batted first and set a challenging target, which proved too difficult for the Kings.
The Karachi Kings won the toss and opted to field first in the upcoming match. The team is captained by David Warner, with notable players such as Tim Seifert, James Vince, and Hasan Ali participating. Lahore Qalandars, led by Shaheen Afridi, will rely on their key players including Fakhar Zaman, Daryl Mitchell, and wicketkeeper Sam Billings.
Both teams are currently positioned closely in the points table, with the Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators holding nine points each. The Qalandars’ recent match against the Gladiators was called off due to severe weather conditions, which prevented both teams from making significant advancements in the standings.
After their early innings were interrupted by a dust storm, the Qalandars had scored 111 runs for three wickets before the match was abandoned. Abdullah Shafique played well, scoring 53 runs, while Muhammad Naeem added 50 runs off 30 balls.
The upcoming rematch is poised to be a significant event, especially for players and fans alike. Hasan Ali will look to continue his form as he leads the Kings’ bowling attack, with 13 wickets in six matches this season.
“We are looking forward to the match against Lahore Qalandars,” Hasan said. “Playing in front of large crowds is motivating, and we hope to deliver an entertaining performance.”
The anticipation builds as both teams prepare for what promises to be an exhilarating clash under the lights of Gaddafi Stadium.
