DETROIT, Mich. — Country music star Lainey Wilson will headline Pine Knob Music Theatre on Sept. 26 as part of her newly announced Whirlwind World Tour. The show, featuring openers Muscadine Bloodline and Lauren Watkins, marks Wilson’s largest metro Detroit performance to date.

Tickets for the concert will go on sale at 10 a.m. Feb. 7 through Ticketmaster. Presales begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday for members of Wilson’s Wild Horses fan club, followed by additional presale windows running through Thursday. The Pine Knob date is one of 30 stops on the tour, which kicks off Aug. 14 in Phoenix and concludes Nov. 8 in Orlando.

Wilson’s fifth studio album, “Whirlwind,” released in August 2023, debuted at No. 8 on Billboard’s album chart and is nominated for Best Country Album at this Sunday’s Grammy Awards. The album features hit singles like “Hang Tight Honey” and “4x4xU.”

“This tour is a celebration of the journey so far and the incredible support from my fans,” Wilson said in a statement. “I can’t wait to bring the energy of ‘Whirlwind’ to Pine Knob.”

The Louisiana native, who won Entertainer of the Year at the 2023 Country Music Association Awards, last performed in the Detroit area as a headliner at the Faster Horses Festival in July 2023. Her upcoming Pine Knob show will be her first at the iconic venue.

Wilson is also set to perform at the Grammy Awards this weekend, joining Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, and others in a tribute to the late Quincy Jones.
