Lauryn Goodman has publicly expressed concern over the lack of relationship between her children and the parents of Kyle Walker, the Manchester City footballer. The ‘Celebs Go Dating‘ star, who shares two children, Kairo and Kinara, with Walker, disclosed the situation during an appearance on the ‘Yours Sincerely’ podcast.

Goodman, speaking alongside podcast co-host Lisa Andrews, discussed her children’s absence of contact with their paternal grandparents, a situation that has seemingly developed since December. She remarked on the severed ties, stating, “They did have a relationship with his side of the family, the grandparents. They had really nice family days out, etc., but obviously that stopped in December.”

During the podcast, Goodman addressed various criticisms she has faced regarding Walker’s involvement in their children’s lives. While Walker reportedly contributes financially, Goodman argued that financial support does not equate to emotional involvement, stressing: “Money isn’t love!”

In response to a message from an Instagram user who suggested that financial support should suffice, Goodman retorted, “Why are you talking about money? I’m into sentimental things.” Co-host Lisa Andrews supported her, adding, “Money isn’t love!”

Goodman’s revelation followed an emotionally supportive message from a fan, thanking her for being open about her custody battles. The message read: “Thank you for sharing your journey with us fans and for giving me the strength to take this big step once and for all now.” Goodman commented, “So sad but if this message doesn’t like make me want to continue my journey in public I don’t know what would because for me… I mean even just saying ‘your strength has kept me going these last few months’ – she’s a mum! My heart goes out to her.”

Goodman also addressed allegations that she coerces her son, Kairo, into speaking about his father on social media. She clarified, “I mean, do people think that I sit there going ‘Rehearse this line?’ Why would I want my child to talk about it? Sometimes it’s so ridiculous… do I even need to justify it?”

In a poignant moment, Lisa Andrews, reflecting on her own experiences, shared that her son also has no relationship with his paternal grandparents or father, prompting Goodman to admit to her co-host, “I haven’t got years,” when discussing the possibility of mending the estrangement.
