LendingTree Founder Doug Lebda Dies in ATV Accident
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Oct. 13, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — LendingTree, Inc. announced that its founder, chairman, and chief executive officer Doug Lebda passed away unexpectedly on October 12, 2025, in an all-terrain vehicle accident. The news shocked the financial community, as Lebda had been a transformative figure in the industry since founding the company in 1996.
The Board of Directors expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Lebda, emphasizing his visionary leadership and commitment to consumer empowerment.
