LiAngelo Ball’s Rap Career Takes Off with Viral Hit ‘Tweaker’
LiAngelo Ball, the middle child of the famous Ball basketball family, has shifted his focus from the court to the recording studio, releasing a viral rap track titled ‘Tweaker’ on January 3, 2025. The song, released under his alias G3 via Born to Ball Music Group, has garnered nearly four million views on WorldStarHipHop and has been widely shared across social media platforms.
The track, produced by Kunica, has been praised for its nostalgic mid-2000s vibe, resonating with fans and earning co-signs from notable artists like Lil Yachty and T-Pain. Its popularity has even led to LiAngelo securing a performance slot at Rolling Loud in March 2025. Another snippet of his music has already surfaced online, hinting at more releases to come.
LiAngelo is not the first Ball brother to explore music. His younger brother Lonzo, a Chicago Bulls player, has previously released two albums. Meanwhile, the youngest Ball brother, LaMelo, is making waves in the NBA, leading the Eastern Conference in fan voting for the 2025 All-Star Game.
LiAngelo’s pivot to music comes after a challenging basketball career. He went undrafted in the NBA in 2018 after withdrawing from UCLA and has since been searching for his professional footing. With ‘Tweaker,’ he has found a new avenue to showcase his talent and build his brand beyond the basketball court.
