Lily Collins Filming Emily in Paris Amid Season 5 Drama

PARIS, France — Lily Collins was spotted on the streets of Paris on Wednesday filming scenes for the fifth season of “Emily in Paris.” The actress, 36, who stars as Emily Cooper, wore a fitted floral midi dress paired with chunky black heels and quirky angular sunglasses.
Collins was seen walking with a man carrying a tan leather briefcase. The upcoming season will explore Emily’s potential new life in Rome contrasted with her experiences in Paris. At the conclusion of season four, Emily received a job offer to lead the Italian branch of the Agence Grateau.
Despite her affection for Paris and the agency, Emily is increasingly tempted by the prospect of a new life — and romance — in Rome. Fans will recall her tumultuous relationship with Gabriel, portrayed by Lucas Bravo, which crumbled following a fake pregnancy scandal involving Camille.
Following the fallout, which saw Gabriel attempt to rekindle his romance with Emily, their paths crossed again in unexpected ways. After an encounter on the slopes of Megève, where Gabriel abandoned Emily, she met Marcello, with whom she later enjoyed a night out at a polo match in Paris.
However, the complications of her professional life emerged as Monica, her boss, tasked her with securing Marcello’s family’s luxury business while navigating their budding romance. This led to strain in their relationship when Marcello discovered Emily’s intentions to mix business with their personal lives.
Meanwhile, Gabriel has been advised by his friend Alfie to fight for Emily’s love. Lucas Bravo discussed Gabriel’s feelings during an interview, stating that the character recognizes he may have made a mistake letting Emily go, hinting at unresolved feelings.
In a twist for fans, creator Darren Star confirmed the season will not fully relocate to Rome, indicating, “Emily’s getting that on its feet. We’re not leaving Paris.” Meanwhile, fans were disheartened to learn Camille Razat announced she would not return for the fifth season due to creative differences.
Camille took to Instagram to express her gratitude for the journey and acknowledged that her character’s storyline had come to a natural conclusion. She cited her desire to pursue new projects, including launching her production company.
Emily in Paris premiered on Netflix in October 2020 and has captivated audiences with its blend of romance and style.
