Lin-Manuel Miranda Stars in Broadway’s ‘All In: Comedy About Love’
Broadway‘s latest comedy sensation, ‘All In: Comedy About Love,’ written by Simon Rich and directed by Alex Timbers, is set to debut at the Hudson Theatre on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. The production features a rotating cast of stars, including Lin-Manuel Miranda, Aidy Bryant, Nick Kroll, and Andrew Rannells, who bring to life a series of humorous short stories about love, heartbreak, and relationships.
The show, which runs through February 16, 2025, combines live performances of songs from ‘The Magnetic Fields‘ by The Bengsons with comedic storytelling. Each week, a different group of four actors takes the stage, portraying a variety of characters—from pirates to dogs—in a series of vignettes that explore the complexities of human connection.
‘All In: Comedy About Love’ is designed to be a relatable and entertaining experience for all audiences. ‘Even if it was their date’s idea to come and they are starting out from a place of quiet resentment, we hope everyone will find something to enjoy,’ said Simon Rich, the show’s writer. The production promises 90 minutes of laughter, romance, and live music, featuring recognizable faces from television and theater.
The creative team behind the production includes David Korins (scenic designer), Jake DeGroot (lighting designer), Jennifer Moeller (costume designer), Peter Hylenski (sound designer), Lucy Mackinnon (projection designer), and Kris Kukul (music director). Additionally, New Yorker cartoonist Emily Flake has contributed illustrations for the show.
Rehearsal photos released this week offer a glimpse into the dynamic chemistry among the cast members as they prepare for the premiere. The production is already generating buzz, with fans eagerly anticipating the unique blend of comedy and music that ‘All In: Comedy About Love’ promises to deliver.
