The Lincoln Lawyer Returns for Season 3 on Netflix
The renowned legal drama series, The Lincoln Lawyer, has returned for a new season on Netflix, featuring intense action and intriguing story developments. The series, which has garnered significant attention for its portrayal of a defense lawyer navigating complex legal battles, premiered its third season on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 3:00 a.m. ET / 12:00 a.m. PT.
Manuel Garcia-Rulfo reprises his role as Mickey Haller, the charming Los Angeles defense attorney who operates from his Lincoln car. The latest season draws its inspiration from The Gods of Guilt, the fifth book in the acclaimed series by Michael Connelly. Haller is determined to uncover the truth behind the mysterious death of his friend Glory Days, who died at the close of Season 2.
Returning cast members include Becki Newton as Lorna Crane, Jazz Raycole as Izzy Letts, Angus Sampson as Dennis “Cisco” Wojciechowski, and Yaya DaCosta as Andrea Freeman. The series also sees the return of Neve Campbell as Maggie McPherson and Elliott Gould as David Legal Siegel. Notable newcomers this season comprise Merrin Dungey as Judge Regina Turner, Allyn Moriyon as Eddie Rojas, John Pirruccello as prosecutor William Forsythe, and Philip Anthony-Rodriguez as Chief Deputy District Attorney Adam Suarez.
The third season, consisting of ten episodes, was made entirely available for streaming on its release date, contrasting with the split release strategy of the prior season. As the plot unfolds, viewers learn about Mickey’s continuing quest for justice, following the trail left by Glory Days’ death, underscoring his unwavering commitment to solving the mystery.
Producer Ross Fineman highlighted the season’s personal stakes for Haller, emphasizing the dual impact on his professional and personal life. “This was his friend, someone he cared about, and he needs to know what happened,” Fineman explains, pointing to both the challenges and the stakes involved.
Meanwhile, Lorna Crane, portrayed by Becki Newton, steps into a more prominent role as she transitions from legal aide to a practicing lawyer. Newton expressed her enthusiasm about Lorna’s development, stating to Entertainment Weekly, “I knew she wanted more, but never in a million years did I imagine season three would be all about Lorna becoming a lawyer.”
The legal drama continues to provide twists and turns, culminating in a thrilling and unexpected cliffhanger that leaves both characters and audience eager for resolution. Production quality and storytelling remain at the forefront, earning the series critical acclaim and a dedicated viewership.
