Linda Evangelista Cover Shoot Harper's Bazaar

NEW YORK, NY — Supermodel Linda Evangelista is back in the spotlight as she graces the cover of Harper's Bazaar‘s May 2025 issue. In an inspiring interview, Evangelista opens up about her journey with beauty, her past surgeries, and her ongoing quest for self-love.

As she approaches her 60th birthday, Evangelista reflects on the physical and emotional scars she has endured, including a double mastectomy and multiple surgeries due to complications from CoolSculpting treatments. ‘I have to go through therapy to like what I see when I look in the mirror,’ she says. ‘I didn’t want to see myself because I didn’t love myself or like myself.’

Evangelista discusses her history with beauty standards and the modeling industry, stating, ‘I was never told I was beautiful. I was told, ‘Oh, your hair looks great.’ It was always about my work, not my appearance.’

Her journey with body image has shaped her perspective on aging. ‘I don’t care how I age. I just want to age,’ Evangelista says. ‘I really, really, really don’t want to die. I have still so much to do.’

Having faced significant challenges in her life, Evangelista emphasizes the importance of resilience. ‘I’m alive. I’m alive. I’m alive, and I’m going to do what I have to do. I’m going to fight because I don’t want it any other way,’ she concludes, as she embraces the next chapter in her life.
