The BC Lions have made an exciting announcement, revealing that legendary artist Curtis ‘50 Cent‘ Jackson will be headlining the Concert Kickoff at Save-On-Foods Field in BC Place for their home opener against the Calgary Stampeders. The event, presented by BC Federation of Labour, is set to take place on June 15.

Known for his versatile talents, 50 Cent is a prominent figure in the music industry, having risen to fame with his 2003 album ‘Get Rich Or Die Tryin‘. The album, highlighted by hit singles such as ‘In Da Club‘ and ‘Wangsta,’ surpassed 9 million units sold and received the prestigious Juno Award for International Album of the Year.

Having earned two Billboard Top Artist Awards and a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance, 50 Cent’s presence at sporting events is equally remarkable. He recently captivated the audience at Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles alongside icons like Dr. Dre, Snoop Dog, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar, which earned him an Emmy award.

Last September, 50 Cent delivered a memorable performance in Vancouver at a sold-out Rogers Arena as part of his Final Lap tour, making the upcoming Concert Kickoff even more anticipated by fans.

Tickets for the event start at $25 for adults and $15 for youth aged 17 and under. Fans can secure their seats for this extraordinary experience and witness 50 Cent’s electrifying performance.

Moreover, the day will kick off with the Backyard Party presented by PlayNow Sports on Terry Fox Plaza, extending to Beatty and Robson Streets. The tailgate celebration promises activities for all ages, a delectable food and drink menu, and $5 Molson Coors beverages for attendees aged 19 and above.
