LISA Launches Debut Album ‘Alter Ego’ with Five Unique Personas

SEOUL, South Korea – LISA, a member of the global K-pop phenomenon BLACKPINK, has made her solo debut with the album ‘Alter Ego,’ which was released today, February 28, 2025. The highly anticipated album features 15 tracks, including collaborations with artists such as Megan Thee Stallion, Future, and Tyla.

With the album, LISA introduces five distinct personas: Roxi, Sunni, Kiki, Speedi, and Vixi, each representing different facets of her artistry. ‘Each character reflects a unique side of me, and I feel connected to them,’ LISA said in an interview prior to the album’s release.

Fans have already been treated to several singles leading up to the album, including ‘Rockstar,’ ‘New Woman’ featuring Rosalía, and ‘Born Again’ with Doja Cat and RAYE. ‘It’s fun to express myself through these different versions of me,’ she continued. ‘I can’t wait for my fans to hear this album and see a different side of LISA.’

Before ‘Alter Ego,’ LISA released two solo singles, ‘LALISA’ and ‘MONEY,’ in 2021, both of which were commercial successes. She also featured in DJ Snake’s song ‘SG’ alongside Ozuna. The release of ‘Alter Ego’ comes alongside a resurgence in solo projects from BLACKPINK members, with ROSÉ having released ‘rosie’ in December and JISOO following with an EP titled ‘AMORTAGE.’ JENNIE is set to release her debut album, ‘Ruby,’ on March 7.

Leading into this solo endeavor, LISA has also explored acting. Her multifaceted career reflects a growing trend among BLACKPINK members pursuing various artistic expressions. ‘We all want to support each other in our solo careers,’ LISA shared, expressing excitement for the members’ future collaborations as they prepare for a summer concert tour.
