Lizzo Celebrates Summer with Stunning Swimwear and Body Transformation

Los Angeles, CA – Lizzo celebrated the arrival of summer by showcasing her stylish swimwear on Instagram. On May 1, the 37-year-old singer and entrepreneur posted a video and several photos modeling her Yitty line of swimsuits, which she first announced in 2022.

In her video, Lizzo expressed her excitement, saying, “Summer is finally here,” as she displayed a range of swimsuits, including a bold fuchsia string bikini, a classic black one-piece, and a vibrant turquoise suit with a large front cutout. “And yes, we’re showing a lot of body-ody-ody,” she added, embracing confidence in her fashion choices.

The swimsuit launch comes as Lizzo has undergone a significant body transformation over the past year. She began her “weight release journey” in 2023, focusing on mental health and self-acceptance. During an interview, Lizzo explained, “I started working out for mental health… to have balanced mental health or endorphins, so that I don’t look at myself in the mirror and feel ashamed. Exercise has helped me shift my mind, not my body.”

In January 2025, Lizzo announced she had reached her weight release goal, stating, “I haven’t seen this number since 2014!” She emphasized the importance of mindset, saying, “Let this be a reminder you can do anything you put your mind to. Time for new goals!” Throughout this journey, she has addressed speculation about using weight loss medications like Ozempic. Lizzo clarified her preference for the term “weight release,” inspired by a conversation with her boyfriend about the language surrounding weight loss.

She concluded, “Even me releasing the weight has affected people, and I take that seriously.” As a result, she aims to redefine how people perceive their bodies and foster a more accepting environment.
