Logan Paul Banned from Egypt Ahead of MrBeast Trip

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — YouTube star Logan Paul has revealed that his planned trip to Egypt was abruptly canceled after the Egyptian government informed him he was banned from entry to the country. The announcement came during a recent vlog where Paul discussed his interest in joining fellow YouTuber MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, on a journey to explore the pyramids.
“MrBeast just uploaded a new video exploring the pyramids or something, and I love the pyramids,” Paul stated in his vlog. “So I was like, ‘Jimmy, can I come?’ And he was like, ‘For sure dude.’ But then a week later, he called me and said, ‘Dude, unfortunately, the Egyptian government said that you can’t come, otherwise we can’t come.'”
According to Paul, he was taken aback by the ban. “I was like, ‘Wait, what? I know I’ve pissed people off, but the Egyptian government? I’ve never even been to Egypt, why can’t I come?” He added, “The government specifically said you are the only person that cannot come on this trip,'” he quoted MrBeast as saying.
Details surrounding the specifics of Paul’s ban remain unclear. It is speculated that it may be tied to his past controversies, particularly the uproar from his 2017 video filmed in Japan’s Aokigahara forest, which contained graphic content related to suicide. The backlash from that video severely affected his standing with the public and advertisers.
As social media reactions formed, many speculated that Paul’s image and history could be influencing diplomatic relations. Although Paul confirmed he is not banned from Japan, he mentioned he would only return if he receives an official invitation.
Additionally, it appears Paul will not be part of any forthcoming WWE events in Egypt, should they occur. WWE has previously hosted a live event tour in Egypt in 2012 featuring several notable talents, but the organization has not returned since then.
Paul, who remains popular within the wrestling community after competing at the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble, recently defeated Rey Mysterio on Monday Night Raw to qualify for the Elimination Chamber match in March. Fans are skeptical about how his absence from potential overseas shows may impact his future in sports entertainment.
The situation raises questions about how individual personalities interact with international borders and government regulations, especially for those in the public eye.
