London Musician Kamaal Williams Accused of Sexual Assault by Three Women
London musician Kamaal Williams is facing serious allegations of sexual assault as reported by journalists Anu Shukla and Annabel Ross, with three women coming forward with their accounts.
The incidents, which allegedly occurred in 2010, 2021, and 2023, were brought to light in a recent investigation published on Resident Advisor.
Although the women, who have been anonymized as Kylie*, Jenna*, and another, do not have a direct connection, each shared similar experiences of alleged assault at the hands of Williams.
Kylie*, who first encountered Williams at the age of 17, described his behavior as manipulative and pushy, detailing an alleged assault in November 2010 after repeatedly refusing his advances.
Another woman, Jenna*, claimed she was drugged before an alleged assault by Williams, mirroring the assertions of coercion and forcefulness by the musician against their expressed wishes.
In response to the allegations, a representative for Williams has vehemently denied the claims, stating that the accusations are false and that he will prove his innocence.
Following the report on Resident Advisor, Williams’ scheduled performance at Belgrave Music Hall in Leeds has been canceled in the wake of the allegations.
Kamaal Williams, previously known as Henry Wu in the South London jazz and electronic scenes, gained prominence with releases on labels like MCDE, Eglo, and Rhythm Section.
In collaboration with drummer Yussef Dayes, he released the album ‘Black Focus‘ on Brownswood Recordings in 2016 before the duo parted ways.
Bradley Zero, founder of Rhythm Section, disclosed via Instagram that both he and the label distanced themselves from Williams due to past violent confrontations, severing ties completely.
Williams released his latest solo album, ‘Stings‘, last year before these recent allegations came to light.
