Lorraine Kelly Responds To Viral Account Tracking Her Show Absences

Lorraine Kelly, the renowned broadcaster known for hosting various TV programmes including ‘Lorraine’ on ITV, has recently responded to a viral Twitter account that tracks her absences from her show.

During an interview on BBC Radio 4‘s Woman's Hour, Kelly addressed the satirical account on Twitter, named @LorraineKWatch, which humorously tallies her appearances on her show.

Amidst the amusement generated by the account’s scrutiny, Kelly shared that her increased time off is due to her elderly, unwell mother, whom she spends time with in East Kilbride, Scotland.

She explained that her schedule involves traveling between Buckinghamshire during weekdays and Scotland on weekends, allowing her to assist her mother in need.

Despite the viral tracking of her show absences, Kelly expressed indifference, highlighting the importance of understanding personal circumstances before passing judgment.

Kelly also mentioned her gratitude to her colleagues, such as Christine Lampard, for stepping in as relief presenters during her time off.

The Twitter account, ‘Where is Lorraine?’, has gained significant traction with over 11,000 followers, updating viewers on Kelly’s appearances and stand-in hosts like Ranvir Singh and Christine Lampard.

Moreover, Kelly reflected on her recent appearance on ‘The Masked Singer‘, where she delighted audiences as the character Owl and shared her experience of keeping the secret from friends and family.

Despite the lighthearted scrutiny, Kelly’s focus remains on her family and her commitment to balancing work and personal responsibilities in the entertainment industry.
