Lou Pimber Films New Thriller in Hometown Nogales

NOGALES, Arizona — Actor Lou Pimber, a Nogales native, has returned to his hometown to film part of his new action-crime thriller titled “Choir Practice“. This project features renowned actor Danny Trejo and is inspired by real events along the U.S.-Mexico border.
The filming commenced earlier this month and is currently halfway through its production phase. The story revolves around an unconventional Catholic priest, a lost migrant, Tucson police officers, and a violent international drug gang. This unique narrative aims to capture the complexities and struggles faced in the border region.
Pimber took a break on set to share his excitement about returning home for this project. He stated, “It feels great to be back in Nogales, where my journey began. I hope this film brings attention to issues in our community.”
Cinematographer A.J. Raitano has also been spotted filming scenes around the border wall, adding an authentic touch to the film. Local residents have shown great enthusiasm about the project, with many expressing their support for the film’s message.
