Love in the Spotlight: Bongiovi and Brown’s PDA at Miami Open

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi shared a passionate kiss Thursday while seated alongside his parents, Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea Hurley, during the women’s semifinals at the Miami Open. The couple, both 22 years old, seemed completely at ease in their public display of affection.
The 21-year-old actress, known for her role in Netflix’s hit series “Stranger Things,” wore a trendy red-and-white striped sundress topped with a white sweater. Her hair was adorned with red flowers, highlighted by chic oval cat-eye sunglasses, reflecting a sunny day at Hard Rock Stadium. Bongiovi, 22, opted for a casual black T-shirt and sleek black shades, complementing his relaxed appearance.
As the couple cozied up, Jon Bon Jovi, 63, and Hurley, 62, were caught in varying degrees of discomfort. Bon Jovi appeared to look away from the couple while his wife seemed to grimace at the scene. The rock star’s reaction contrasted with the younger pair’s carefree demeanor, underscoring the juxtaposition of love and parental awkwardness.
Witnesses noted that the foursome was seated in a VIP box, which provided an intimate setting for the public display of affection. At one point, the elder couple shifted seats to sit next to each other, further cementing the notion of love across generations.
Brown and Bongiovi’s relationship is no stranger to PDA; the couple has been frequently seen expressing their affection in front of his parents. They tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in May 2024 after dating since June 2021.
Earlier that day, Brown also showcased a dramatic hair makeover, trading her platinum locks for her natural deep brunette shade. Debuting her new look at the Miami Open, she wore a slicked-back low bun held in place with a striking red ruffled hair clip.
Comments from fans flooded in as she showcased her transformation, with many likening her new style to iconic pop star Britney Spears. However, Brown’s initial transition from brown to blonde in February was met with mixed reactions; after facing criticism over her appearance, she publicly addressed the backlash on social media, emphasizing her journey in the public eye.
“I refuse to apologize for growing up. I refuse to make myself smaller to fit the unrealistic expectations of people who can’t handle seeing a girl become a woman,” Brown reiterated in her online statements.
