Luke Grimes Embarks on ‘Playin’ On The Tracks Tour’ and Reflects on ‘Yellowstone’ Without Kevin Costner
Luke Grimes, known for his role as Kayce Dutton on the hit TV drama ‘Yellowstone,’ is gearing up for his next musical venture. Grimes, who is also a musician, singer, and songwriter, is set to embark on his “Playin’ On The Tracks Tour” this November and December. The tour will make stops at some of the most celebrated music venues across the country, including the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.
Grimes has had a prolific year in music, having played over 20 festivals in 2023, including Stagecoach, Pilgrimage Music and Cultural Festival, and Under the Big Sky Festival. He also headlined his own sold-out tour and recently returned to Stagecoach with his highly anticipated full-length album. His self-titled debut album, released on March 8, features personal stories, including the loss of his father and meeting his wife, written in collaboration with notable songwriters like Rodney Clawson and Nicolle Galyon.
In addition to his musical endeavors, Grimes has been reflecting on the challenges of continuing ‘Yellowstone’ without former lead Kevin Costner. Grimes expressed that it was “a miracle” the show could return without Costner, highlighting the significant impact of the actor’s departure on the series. Despite these challenges, the show has managed to adapt and continue its successful run.
The Ryman Auditorium, one of Grimes’ tour stops, is a historic venue renowned for its world-class acoustics and has hosted legendary performers such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, and Bruce Springsteen. Fans attending Grimes’ concert at the Ryman can also enjoy upgraded experiences, including access to the newly expanded Ford Lounge with food, drinks, and a commemorative Hatch Show Print Poster.
