Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 Patch Notes

LOS ANGELES, April 3, 2025 — Capcom is set to launch Title Update 1 for Monster Hunter Wilds, a major content update, on April 4, 2025, at 3 a.m. UTC. The update introduces a host of new features, including the highly anticipated return of the Mizutsune monster alongside a new high-rank foe, Zoh Shia.

The patch notes, released ahead of the update, outline significant additions and changes to the gameplay. This includes new missions designed for players at Hunter Ranks (HR) 21 and up, with the Mizutsune mission becoming available first, while the Zoh Shia encounter will unlock upon reaching HR 50.

“Title Update 1 will breathe new life into the game,” said a Capcom spokesperson. “Players can look forward to new monsters to hunt, as well as additional missions and adjustments that improve the overall experience.”

The Grand Hub, a new social area, will also be introduced, allowing players to connect, enjoy mini-games, and manage their hunts. It will be accessible after completing a tutorial mission once players achieve HR 16. Additionally, new gear options, pose sets, and voice lines for the game’s handler, Alma, are part of the update.

Capcom has indicated that the required storage space for the update will be approximately 6GB, with additional space needed for anyone using the High-Resolution Texture Pack. The improvements also target bugs affecting game stability and performance—specifically crashes, disappearing monsters, and camera distance issues with certain monsters like Gore Magala.

Alterations to weapon mechanics have also been made, particularly affecting the Corrupted Mantle and various weapons. The Bow will experience a slight damage decrease on Dragon Piercer but an increase in damage for Thousand Dragons and enhancements to elemental values for Power Volley.

Looking ahead, Capcom plans to continue expanding Monster Hunter Wilds with further updates scheduled for April and May, including a seasonal event called Festival of Accord: Blossomdance on April 22 and the introduction of Arch-Tempered Rey Dau on April 29.

Capcom’s commitment to enhancing the user experience through updates demonstrates their dedication to the Monster Hunter community as they solidify their title in the competitive gaming landscape.
