Major Wrestling Show Set to Crown New Champions in Toronto

TORONTO, Ontario, Canada — Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling (MLP) is set to showcase a thrilling night of professional wrestling on May 10 at the Mattamy Athletic Centre, promising to crown new champions in two prestigious divisions.

Thom Latimer will defend the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against former AEW wrestler Stu Grayson. Latimer looks to maintain his title after a narrow victory against “The Nomad” Bishop Dyer, while Grayson aims to make history as one of the few Canadians to hold the prestigious championship.

‘I’m ready to leave my mark in my home country,’ Grayson stated. ‘This isn’t just a match for me; it’s a chance to prove that I belong among the best.’

Meanwhile, the 20-man gauntlet match for the newly re-established Canadian Heavyweight Championship adds further intrigue to the night. This title, last held by Angelo Mosca Jr. in 1984 before the promotion was integrated into WWE, will finally see a new champion crowned. Josh Alexander, known as ‘The Walking Weapon,’ has announced his entry into the gauntlet, expressing his determination to claim the championship.

‘I’m coming to Toronto for a fight,’ Alexander declared. ‘This is my moment, and I won’t let it slip away.’

The gauntlet will also feature high-profile entries such as Bishop Dyer, “The Maharaja” Raj Dhesi, Rhino, and Rich Swann, among many others, enhancing the competition for the coveted title.
