South African music sensation, Makhadzi, renowned as the ‘African Queen‘, is set to make waves once again with her upcoming music video featuring Nigerian star, Iyanya.

Makhadzi, who has captivated audiences globally, is gearing up for the release of her latest song on 10th May, accompanied by a visually stunning video.

Revealing a glimpse into the production process, Makhadzi shared that a whopping R500,000 has been invested in crafting this high-quality music video.

The artist emphasized the importance of investing in her craft, stating, ‘Spent half a million in this music video. We call this investing in your craft. My fans will watch an expensive and exclusive music video for the first time in my career.’

The music video, shot in Ghana, promises to be one of Makhadzi’s most visually captivating projects to date, showcasing her dedication to delivering top-tier content.

Makhadzi’s journey in the music industry saw a significant turn in 2023 when she parted ways with Open Mic Productions, alleging exploitation and unpaid royalties.

Undeterred by the challenges, Makhadzi established Makhadzi Entertainment and continued to create music that resonated with her fans.

Having started as a dancer, Makhadzi transitioned into a singing career, releasing her first song under Rita Dee Entertainment in 2015, followed by notable hits like ‘Tshanda Vhuya’ and the widely successful album ‘Matorokisi’ in 2019.

With a string of hit songs under her belt, including ‘Mapara‘ with over 12 million views on YouTube within months, Makhadzi’s influence in the South African music scene remains undeniable.
