Manchester City Defender Kyle Walker Apologizes to Wife After Fathering Second Child with Model Lauryn Goodman
Manchester City defender Kyle Walker has issued a public apology to his wife Annie Kilner after it was revealed that he fathered a second child with model Lauryn Goodman. The 33-year-old football player already has three children with Kilner, but in 2020, Goodman gave birth to their son.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Walker admitted the need to take full responsibility for his actions, describing them as “horrible” and acknowledging that he made “idiot choices and idiot decisions”. He expressed remorse for the pain and hurt that his wife is currently experiencing, stating that the blame lies solely with him.
Walker revealed that Kilner discovered news of their second child via a message sent by Goodman on Instagram. He confessed that the revelation almost led him to consider leaving Manchester City in an attempt to escape the media scrutiny in England. However, he ultimately decided against it, realizing the importance of remaining close to his children. Despite the pain and emotion surrounding the situation, Walker values the ability to be present in his children’s lives, taking them to school and football practice.
This is not the first time Walker has faced controversy. In 2020, he issued an apology for hosting a party at his home during the national lockdown, a breach of the government’s regulations. Manchester City promised internal disciplinary action in response to the incident.
Currently, Walker and Kilner are spending some time apart, although they are expecting their fourth child together. Meanwhile, Lauryn Goodman, the model involved, has shared her side of the story on social media, branding Walker a “pathological liar and narcissist” in response to his claims that they did not have a relationship. She posted on Instagram Stories, sharing memes and asserting that she holds evidence to support her claims.
