Manchester United is actively exploring player acquisitions this summer as they eye reinforcements in crucial positions of midfield, attack, and defense. Among their targets, the club is showing interest in PSG‘s midfielder Manuel Ugarte, with discussions ongoing for a potential move.

Ugarte, a Uruguay international, previously played for Sporting Lisbon before joining PSG last season for a substantial fee. With his contract running until 2028, United sees him as a valuable addition to bolster their midfield.

Additionally, United remains in dialogue with Bologna as they pursue striker Joshua Zirkzee, with a release clause of €40m. However, competition from other clubs like Arsenal and previous negotiations with AC Milan have added complexity to the potential transfer.

Alongside their attacking focus, United’s pursuit of Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite continues, though initial offers were rebuffed due to Everton‘s high valuation. Erik ten Hag‘s side is keen on strengthening the defense following the departure of Raphael Varane and potential exit of Victor Lindelof to Fenerbahce.

Furthermore, discussions with Lille regarding central defender Leny Yoro have commenced, with the 18-year-old identified as a standout prospect. The club is also monitoring the contract situation of Jonathan David, another Lille player garnering attention from Premier League rivals like Chelsea and West Ham.

With the transfer window open in both the Premier League and Scottish Premiership, United seeks to finalize key signings strategically to enhance their squad for the upcoming season, underlining their ambitious plans for a competitive campaign.
