Marcus Mumford Walks Off Stage During Concert in Oregon

Bend, Oregon — Marcus Mumford, lead singer of Mumford & Sons, walked off stage abruptly during a concert at the Hayden Homes Amphitheater on June 5. The incident occurred mid-performance while the band was playing their song ‘Ghosts.’
Witnesses report that Mumford pointed toward the crowd before saying what appeared to be, ‘Sorry, f— them,’ and left the stage. A video of the event circulated online, capturing the moment that led to this unexpected exit.
Fans speculated that multiple individuals in the audience had fainted, prompting Mumford to stop the show to allow for medical assistance. One TikTok user commented, ‘About 3 people passed out in a row. In the same song. So he stopped so they could get help.’
Another user lamented, ‘Poor Marcus. His first big show back and adults are trying to ruin it for him and his band. People need to stop going to shows and drink a lot.’
Some commenters suggested that the venue was ‘cursed,’ claiming that concertgoers often arrive without eating or drinking properly, which might lead to such incidents. One user mentioned, ‘He was pretty peeved at us being dumb Americans,’ indicating that Mumford made a light-hearted remark about the audience.
Mumford & Sons, formed in London in 2007, is known for their chart-topping hits like ‘I Will Wait’ and ‘Believe.’ They are currently on their 2025 North American tour, with the next show scheduled in George, Washington.
Despite the disruption during the Bend concert, reports indicate that the band eventually returned to finish their performance, much to the relief of fans.
