RALEIGH, N.C. — Marlon Wayans, renowned comedian and star of films like “White Chicks” and “Scary Movie,” is set to perform his Wild Child Tour at the Raleigh Improv from Thursday to Sunday. Before hitting the stage, Wayans visited local studios to discuss his career and what audiences can expect from his performances.

Wayans, who has entertained millions, shared insights into his rise in comedy and the evolving nature of stand-up. He emphasized the importance of connecting with audiences, stating, “Comedy is about real-life experiences shared in a way that brings people together.” His performances are known for their energetic storytelling and humor that resonates across different demographics.

In addition to the Raleigh shows, Wayans is scheduled to headline a free Juneteenth block party in Coral Springs, Florida, on June 20, 2025. The event will kick off at 5:30 p.m. with music, dance, and spoken word performances, culminating in Wayans’ stand-up show at 8:00 p.m.

This event is noteworthy as Wayans’ latest comedy special, “Good Grief,” recently topped Amazon Prime Video, showcasing his continued relevance in the entertainment industry. His impressive filmography has collectively earned over $1 billion at the domestic box office.

Tickets for the Raleigh performances are selling quickly, with prices starting at approximately $56.27 for the Juneteenth event, which also offers free admission to the outdoor celebration.
