Hangzhou, China – Former world No. 6 Matteo Berrettini is making his return to the ATP Tour after a two-and-a-half-month injury hiatus. On Wednesday, he confirmed that he will compete in the Lynk & Co Hangzhou Open, set to begin on September 17.

Berrettini, a 10-time ATP Tour titleholder, excitedly shared a training video on social media, stating, “Final prep ✅ See you in Hangzhou! 🇨🇳 🔨🤼‍♂️.” Currently holding a 13-11 record for the season, he gained significant victories earlier this year against top-ranked players in Doha and Monte-Carlo.

The 29-year-old Italian’s last match was in five sets against Jannik Sinner in the first round of a tournament, after which he missed all North American hard-court events due to injury. As Berrettini returns, he will face a strong draw including fellow former Top 10 players and defending champion.

Berrettini expressed his enthusiasm for the event and aims to reclaim his place among the elite in tennis. Local fans look forward to witnessing his performance in Hangzhou, where he will be joined by other talented competitors.
