Mayim Bialik Melissa Rauch Night Court Episode

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch, former co-stars of *The Big Bang Theory*, reunited for a special episode of NBC‘s *Night Court* on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025. The episode features Bialik as a heightened version of herself, appearing as a defendant in Judge Abby Stone’s courtroom, played by Rauch.

Rauch, who has been a fan of Bialik since her *Blossom* days, expressed her excitement about the collaboration. “It’s been a dream of mine for Mayim to be on the show,” Rauch told PEOPLE. The episode includes nods to *The Big Bang Theory* and *Blossom*, with an “elaborate twist” that Bialik teased would surprise viewers.

The storyline was inspired by Rauch’s real-life admiration for Bialik. “When I first met Mayim, I had to wrestle with the notion of informing her that I was a huge *Blossom* fan growing up,” Rauch recalled. The two shared a bathroom on the set of *The Big Bang Theory*, which Rauch described as an “intimate situation” that led to her confessing her fandom.

Bialik, who played Amy on *The Big Bang Theory*, was equally thrilled to join *Night Court*. “I was just so excited at the idea that she would want to have me on,” Bialik said. “I thought maybe I would do a scene or a little cameo. I didn’t know it would be like a full episode.”

The reunion marked the first time the two had worked together since *The Big Bang Theory* ended in 2019. Rauch admitted to feeling emotional during the shoot, saying, “I was just pinching myself that we were getting to work together. It’s like home.”

Bialik also reflected on their shared history, noting that their time on *The Big Bang Theory* was transformative. “It changed both of our lives forever,” she said. “We were there almost a decade together. I definitely saw her more than my own children.”

This isn’t the first time a *Big Bang Theory* alum has appeared on *Night Court*. In February, another former co-star guest-starred in an episode titled “A Crime of Fashion.” Rauch expressed hope for more reunions, saying, “If we’re lucky enough to get more, I would be very excited.”

*Night Court* airs Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m. ET on NBC and is available for streaming on Peacock the following day.
