Megan Thee Stallion Admits to Lying About Tory Lanez, Files Lawsuit Over Defamatory Content
Megan Thee Stallion has made a significant admission regarding her relationship with rapper Tory Lanez, revealing that she lied about their sexual history during an interview with Gayle King. In her new Amazon Prime documentary, “Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words,” Megan confesses that she had sex with Tory Lanez on one or two occasions while she was drunk, contrary to her previous denial on CBS Mornings in 2022.
This revelation comes as Tory Lanez is currently serving a 10-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the foot in July 2020. Lanez’s legal team, represented by Ceasar McDowell of the nonprofit law firm Unite the People, is appealing his sentence and includes Megan’s previous false statements as part of the appeal. McDowell emphasized that Megan’s admission of lying undermines her credibility as a witness.
In a separate development, Megan Thee Stallion has filed a lawsuit against blogger Milagro Gramz, accusing her of spreading false information and defamatory content related to the shooting incident. The lawsuit, filed in the Southern District of Florida, alleges that Gramz intentionally caused emotional distress by cyberstalking, promoting deep fake pornography of Megan, and questioning the authenticity of the shooting. Megan’s attorneys describe Gramz as a “puppet” for Tory Lanez during and after his trial.
The lawsuit highlights several torts, including intentional infliction of emotional distress, cyberbullying, and false statements. Legal experts believe Megan has a strong case, which could set a precedent for cyberbullying and defamation cases in the future.
